Hennessey Performance again surprises us with the development of this Chevrolet Camaro 2016 with a thousand horsepower.

Based on the SS version, engineers from the Texan workshop increased the power output to more than double through a series of modifications made to the 6.2-liter V8. In order to achieve this extra power the eight-cylinder beast received a supercharger, a four-inch crankshaft, forged pistons, new intake and exhaust valves, high flow catalytic converters, reprogramming of the control unit -ECU- and an all-new Exhaust system.

At the end of the customization and putting it to the test on the dynamometer, the Chevrolet Camaro SS 2016 “Hennessey Performance” recorded 1,000 hp at 6,800 rpm and 887 foot-pounds of torque at 4,200 rpm, this is 545 hp and 432 lb.-ft. of torque more than the usual Camaro.

Speaking of aesthetics, this muscle car gets no aerodynamic treatment and only takes some minor interior and exterior emblem changes that identify it as a vehicle in which Hennessey worked.
